Obituary of carol yvonne mclendon

Carol Yvonne McLendon, 63, of Freeport, Florida passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center. She was born on July 19, 1955 in Lakeland, Florida to the late Robert and Shirley Weatherford. Carol was an entrepreneur throughout her life, owning several businesses including a family restaurant where people would line up for her delicious hamburgers. She was always trying new things and accomplishing new goals in her life. Carol was a great salesperson and loved to buy and sell things and seek out a great deal. She loved the beach, decorating and tending her plant and also spent much of her life making life better for others. Carol fostered children and had helped many people get back on their feet, going as far as giving them a place to stay when their home had burned down or if they just needed a hand up. Carol always wanted others to know they had value in their lives. However, her greatest love was her family. She always tried to keep them close and let them know how much they meant to her and how much she loved them and that her family was always her greatest accomplishment. Carol is preceded in passing by her loving husband and father of their children, Dow Q. Lowe. She is survived by her husband, Marc McLendon; daughters, Rosanna (Jason) Sperry, Amber (Robert) Naumowicz and Erin (Dan) Coler; grandchildren, Harlie, Zachery, Trevor, Abby, Evan Sophie, Colton, Vivian, R.J. and Victoria. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 7253 Plantation Road, Pensacola, Florida 32504.
