Obituary of Charles Thomas Greer, Jr.

Charles “Charlie” Thomas Greer, Jr., 72, of Pensacola, Florida lost his year-long battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Charlie was born on August 14, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida to parents, Charles Thomas Greer, Sr. and Cynthia Geraldine Bacon. He was a member of the United States Air Force, honorably discharged on May 6, 1966. Charlie had lived in Pensacola for the last 13 years and was a print salesman in his professional career. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Dawn Michelle Brewer; niece, Cynthia Karen Acquavella and nephew, Jeffrey “Berry” Greer. He is survived by his son, Charles Thomas Greer, IV; sisters, Cynthia Greer Whittle and Kimberly Jane Greer; brothers, Jeffrey Lee Greer and Timothy Lawrence Greer and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Charlie’s memory to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org). A Committal Service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 11:30am at Barrancas National Cemetery. The procession will meet at 11:00am at Olive Baptist Church-Warrington Campus, 103 West Winthrop Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32507.
