Obituary of David Eric Johnson

David Eric Johnson, 62, of Pensacola, Florida passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 28, 1956 in Lebanon, NH and moved to Florida where he graduated from Dunedin High. He continued his education obtaining his ASE Master Technician Certification. He was a professional Truck Driver for over 20 years and also a heavy equipment operator and transporter. His last few years he maintained the propane distribution business for Caladesi RV Park in Palm Harbor, FL before moving to his sisters' in Navarre, FL. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Palm Harbor, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Loue and Jeanne Mae (Remick) Johnson and sister, Brenda Lee Johnson. He is survived by his sisters, Carla Mysling of Spring Hills, FL., Linda (Ron) Baker of Navarre, FL. and Anita (Gene) Aaron of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Jennifer (Seth) Whitten of Stanley, NC; son, David (Heather) Scercy of Statesville, NC; grandchildren, Cameron, Mariah, Connor and Kade all of NC, and several nieces and nephews and his girlfriend, Laura Harmon of Palm Harbor, FL. David was a true and loyal friend to all whom passed through his life. He will be truly missed. The family would like to thank Mease Hospital Staff, Med Fleet Team and Vitas Hospice Staff for their compassionate care of David. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. A memorial will be held at a later date.
