Obituary of David Charles Keefe

David Charles Keefe, age 57, went to be with the Lord, on Saturday, March 2, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born April 6, 1961, in Hartford, CT to Paul and Margaret (Weller) Keefe. David was loved by many. He was always reliable and a great service to his tenants, as a maintenance manager. His favorite quote was "Dream as if you'll live forever, Live as if you'll die tomorrow," by James Dean. As a boy scout, he was just one medal short of becoming an Eagle Scout, which taught him about the great outdoors. At a young age, he was grateful to have Father Delany as his mentor, he also formed a bottle-digging club, discovered Indian artifacts and donated them to Windsor, CT town museum. He learned karate, liked archery, metal detecting, fishing, exploring historical-sites, listening to rock music, watching sports, vacationing and meeting new and interesting people! Being a cow whisperer, he could herd dairy cows with just a snap of his fingers. David's smile could light up any room, he was always quick with a witty comeback and pulling pranks! David was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Gail Turnbull. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Lara Carpenter Keefe, siblings: Elaine Wheaton (John Zalansky) William, Pauline K. Nicholaides, Annette K. Morse, Bruce, Michael (Mina), Maureen K. Boffin, Marcia, Kevin (Laura), Patricia (Joseph) Nickerson. He had several nieces and nephews, and many cousins. David will be missed by many. Our precious memories of him will last forever.
