Obituary of Vicki Kay Zborai

Vicki Kay Zborai, 63, of Delta, PA and Pensacola, FL, passed away on February 9, 2019 after a long battle with lung cancer. She was born in Baltimore, MD on June 3, 1955 to Helen Jane Zborai and John D. Zatoski. She graduated from Kenndard-Dale High School in 1973. She spent her earlier adult years as a stay at home mom, caring for her family. A little later in life, she found a rewarding career working with special needs children in the public school systems in both North Carolina and Maryland. She spent her last two years of life living with her family in Florida, as she fought her battle with cancer. Vicki loved all animals and enjoyed serving as a foster home for dogs in need. One of her greatest joys in life was supporting her children and grandchildren in their sports, concerts and other activities; she was always their biggest cheerleader. She had such a caring and loving heart and would always do anything to help her family, friends and even strangers. She is survived by her daughters, Shana Gore (husband Marc), Kayla Smith (wife Hilary); her grandchildren, Alex, Kamya and Mara; great-granddaughter, Amani (Amani’s mom Deondra); sister, Marcie Pope (husband Tom); nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends whom she truly considered family. Vicki requested to not have a funeral, however, there will be a gathering to remember and celebrate her life at 7114 Woodside Rd., Pensacola, FL on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 3-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
