Obituary of Andrew F. Palmier

Andrew F. Palmier, 87, died February 1, 2019 at his home in Pace, Florida after a courageous battle with a long-term illness. Mr. Palmier was born in 1931 on Staten Island, New York. His life was dedicated to his family and the service of others. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He served as a professional firefighter and officer in the New York City Fire Department for over 35 years. He was also a master carpenter and home builder, and enjoyed gardening, model ship building and was passionate about helping others and anything Notre Dame. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Anita; three children, James, Daniel and Jane; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. His “Celebration of Life” will be announced at a later date.
