Obituary of Thomas Earl Lee, Jr.

Thomas Earl Lee, Jr., 77, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. Thomas was born in Grand Bay, Alabama on December 13, 1941 to parents, Thomas Lee and Berline Travis. He was preceded in death by his parents and his cousin, Louise Matthew. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Debra Lee (Robinson); daughters, Barbara and Nadine Travis; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Thomas was a devout member of the Englewood Baptist Church, loved to fish, golf and being outdoors. He loved dinners out and dancing with his wife, Debra and enjoyed listening to the blues with his favorites, B.B. King and Wilson Picket. Thomas served in the U.S. Army for 24 years, earning the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal W/2 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry W/Palm, Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon “4” and the Army Service Ribbon. He recently was awarded a State Championship ring for being a member of the 2A State Championship football team from 1960 and 1965 with Booker T. Washington football in Conroe, Texas. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall Follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
