Obituary of Nancy Lynn Greathouse

Nancy Lynn Greathouse, 77, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Nancy was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, living a long and happy life, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-four years, Robert E. "Bob" Greathouse; her parents, Irving F. Welch and Nannie M. Welch; her grandson, Bryan Greathouse; her nephew, Brandon Welch and her sweet sister in law, Hazel Kathryn "Kay" Greathouse. She is survived by her brother, Nick Welch (Donna); her brother-in-law, Thomas C. Greathouse; her loving sons, Robert Gene (Paula); David; Paul; Chris (Jamie); her grandchildren, Brandon; Krista; Zachary; Alyssa (Chris); Kerstian; Haley; Ashley; Brianna; her precious great grandchildren, Mariah; Clayton; Ramsen Brian; Kenleigh Grace; nephews, Gerald Welch (Katie); Jay Greathouse (Belinda); niece, Lucinda Greathouse; her closest and most dear friends, Emmy Bennett; Beverly Martin and Trisha Morrison. Nancy has left her kindness and hospitality in so many friends and family's hearts. Nancy spent almost thirty years with Baptist Hospital as the Director of Volunteer Services. Over the years, she gained many friends and memories while enjoying the brightening of so many lives, whether she knew it or not. Nancy loved to tell people of all her family's accomplishments and how proud she was of each family member. Nancy enjoyed going on much deserved getaways when not enjoying the presence of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nancy heard the final "all aboard" and took her "final cruise" with the Lord on January 15, 2019. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11:00 am at Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church, 1030 N. 57th Avenue, Pensacola, Florida 32506.
