Obituary of Deltas Leland Stevens

Deltas Leland Stevens, 76, of Milton, Florida passed away on Wednesday December 12, 2018. Deltas (Del) Leland Stevens, 76, peacefully passed away on December 12th at Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Florida. Del was born in McLeansboro, IL. on September 10, 1942 to the lat Burnal and Bernice (Mure) Stevens. Del was a wonderful, giving and caring man. His love for his late wife Betty Jo Stevens (Steed) was unmatched from the moment they met in Carmi, IL. in the early 1960's. Her passing was the saddest day in his life, but he made her a promise to keep their children in close contact and communicating to which he did since per passing over 6 years ago. He was an inspirational man that had the ability to be loved by all who met him. He was sensitive, empowering, and devoted to his beliefs, and although in significant pain for the past several years he still managed to always have a smile and an ear to anyone who needed to talk. You are now together again, and as you both now look down over us, be assured we will always be together and trying to do those things that you both have taught us and expect from us. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and friends. Deltas is survived by his beloved children Tonya Stevens, Scott and Hazel Stevens, Mark and Kim Stevens, treasured grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family. Although his passing was not cancer related, Del would want in memory of his wife, any memorial contributions to be made in honor of the American Cancer Society, In Lieu of flowers.
