Obituary of Emma June Squires
Beloved June passed away April 23, 2018, at the home of her daughter in Pace, Florida. She was born June 16, 1931, in St. Louis City, Missouri to Heinrich Georg Timmermann of Bad Oldesloe, Germany, and Cassie Mabel Corwin of Oakland City, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Frederich, Harry, George, Emil, James, Anna Schubert and Rosalind Bader; son, Thomas Squires and grandson, Alexander Baker.
She is survived by her brother, Jack Timmermann of St. Louis; children, Arlene Squires, John (Tamara) Squires, Nancy Squires (Wade Murray), all of North Carolina, Diana Horton of Florida, and Melinda (Chris) Miller of St. Louis; grandchildren, William (Tonya Flynn) Pemberton, Alisha Squires, Sara Squires, Benjamin Squires, Elizabeth Squires, Michella (Sam) Henry, Christopher (Laura Jacobs) Horton, Theresa (Brian) Baker, Julie (Gary) Naylor, Dylan Ryan, Shannon (Craig) Rapp, Emily Hohrein; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Savannah, Alivia, and Emilia Henry, Jerad Jacobs, Kate, Carly and Harrison Baker, and Abigail Rapp and many, many nieces and nephews and their families and dear friends.
June retired from the Dept. of Defense in St. Louis before moving to Micro, North Carolina. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed having them around. Her favorite past-times were crossword puzzles, family jigsaw puzzle time and working in her yard. She loved going to movies, eating out, and shopping the antique malls and junk stores. She was invited to be a member of MENSA and was a brilliant conversationalist. Her wisdom, wit, and contagious smile will be missed by all.
A Life Celebration will be held from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Pasta House Banquet Room, 14007 Manchester Road, Ballwin, Missouri, 63011. (phone number 636-230-6200) Please bring your photos and memories to share.
