Obituary of Jack Vincent Organo

Jack Vincent Organo died peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at West Florida Hospice Center, Pensacola Florida. Jack was born in Sea Isle City, New Jersey and grew up in New York and New Jersey. He served in World War II in the Naval Construction Battalion “Fighting Seabees” from March 3, 1945 to October 17, 1946 where he participated in the “Atomic Bomb Testing” at Bikini Atoll and where he was awarded the Asiatic Pacific and the World War II Victory Medal for his service to the country. After his military service he returned to Brooklyn, New York and worked several different jobs. In 1972 he moved his family to Hollywood, Florida and worked in the construction business for over 20 years. He worked for the city of Plantation, Florida in Park and Recreation until he retired at the age of 68. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye and his son, Jack Organo of Cape Coral Florida. He is survived by the following children, Ginny Organo Needham, Patricia Organo Calley, Jackie Organo Agnello, John Organo, Robert Organo, Debra Organo and Irene Calderon, along with his sons loving wife Laurie. Jack loved to cook his so called gravy/sauce and Ziti’s. He also loved seafood, especially crabs. He loved being by the ocean as it reminded him of his father who was a Longshore man. He would light up every time he got to see the ocean. Jack also was a sports fan. He loved the New York Giants, New York Rangers and his favorite was the San Francisco Giants. He loved watching baseball on television and got to see every game. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2401 Davis Road, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
