Obituary of John Gerald Chopp

John "Jerry" Chopp, 79, of Pensacola passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 after a 10-year battle with Parkinson's disease. Jerry was born in Gratztown, Pennsylvania on June 20, 1938. He met his loving wife, Joyce in high school prior to beginning a 46-year career as an industrial engineer for Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh which moved him to Pensacola in 1987. He was incredibly devoted to his family, especially his three grandsons, whom he helped with scouts, coaching soccer and always attending their events. Jerry is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughter, Rhonda (Jordan "Chuck") Iserman; son, Randy (Sheila) Chopp; three grandsons, Justin Iserman, Jared Iserman and Jordan Iserman; two sisters, Patsy Robinson and Vivian (John) Lesko and two brothers, Larry (Sandee) Chopp and Ted (Sheryl) Chopp. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 19th at 4:00pm at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
