Obituary of Michael D. Pennington

Michael Douglas Pennington, 43, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, died suddenly on January 6, 2018 due to septic shock. Born on January 11, 1974 in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey to Richard Pennington and Eleanor (Crist) Pennington, he was an active member of the Gulf Breeze Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. During his short stay in the hospital and at the time of his death, he was surrounded by family and friends from the congregation. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Pennington and brother David Lackey. Survivors include his mother, Eleanor Pennington; two brothers, John Lackey and Randall Pennington and two sisters, Patricia Helmuth and Heather Pennington. Special thanks to the Gulf Breeze Fire Department and the nurses and doctors at Baptist Hospital in Gulf Breeze and Pensacola for the amazing care that they gave him.
