Obituary of Keith Leverett

Keith Leverett, 63, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 17, 2017 in Pensacola, Florida after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his Fathers, Lawrence Middleton, Alton Leverett and John Lawless, Mother Patricia Leverett, Brother Craig Lawless, Sisters Carolyn Rae Wagner and Martha Lawless. He is survived by his loving Wife of 33 years, Melinda Leverett, Son Keith Allen Leverett, Jr (Caysie), Daughter Jessica Sanchez (Jose), Grandchildren Hunter Leverett, Aidan Gregory, Ryleigh Gregory, Jose Sanchez, Jr, and Julian Luke Sanchez, Mother Evlu Lawless, Mother-in-Law Shirley Davis, Brothers Jeff Lawless, Johnny Leverett, Texas, Clay Davis (Jan), Scott Davis, Biloxi, Sisters Sharon McClellan (Jon Paul), N.C., Laura Davis, Kathleen Bruce, Biloxi, Lisa Reed (Craig), Kathy Thomas (Phillip), Cindy Bates (Jack), Patti Perry (Mark) and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam Conflict Era as a Marine. After the Marines, he was a volunteer fire fighter for the D’Iberville and St. Martin Fire Departments in Mississippi. He retired from Kmart as a District Loss Control Manager and went on to fulfill his dreams of starting his own business. He then went on to work for Dirt Cheap. He will be remembered by everyone for his outgoing personality and fun loving nature. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He always knew how to make you laugh. He loved to go hunting and fishing whenever he had a free moment. He will truly be missed by so many especially his grandson Hunter who always put a spark in his eye. Interment will be Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11:30am at Barrancas National Cemetery. Procession will begin at Olive Baptist Church, Warrington Campus, 103 West Winthrop Avenue at 11am.
