Obituary of Delores Rachel Hanks

Delores Rachel Hanks, 86, of Pensacola passed away on Monday October 9, 2017. She was born in Perdido, Alabama on October 24, 1930 to Walter and Rachel Emmons. She moved to Pensacola in 1953, where she worked at Monsanto, the Mezzanine Lounge, and San Carlos Hotel as a waitress. She later retired as a homemaker. Delores is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert L. Hanks and Norman E. Hinote; 5 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by 4 children: Beverly Wheeler, Bill Smith (Laura), Jerry Smith (Marti), and Debbie Parkerson (Kit); 8 grandsons: Robbie, Brandon, David, Nathan, Jacob, Caleb, Zac & Jeremy; 2 granddaughters: Allison and Tammy; 31 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation will be on Friday, October 13, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Fox Run) from 10:00 to 11:00am, Service begins at 11:00am. Bishop Jake Smith will be officiating.
