He was currently enrolled in Northwest Florida State College pursuing a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He proudly served his country as an aviation electronics technician in the United States Navy from 2009 through 2013. His recent employment was with Beach Colony Resort in Navarre, Florida and had just started working for Harbor Freight in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. He was a life time member of Conyers Presbyterian Church, Conyers, Georgia where he participated in numerous church mission trips including Ponca City, Oklahoma, Savannah, Georgia and two mission trips to Mexico. Matthew loved music, played drums for pleasure and church services, toured with the Justin G Band for one and half years, loved fishing, kayaking on bay to watch glorious sunsets, bee keeping, mud bogging in his monster truck, and not to forget an avid UGA football fan. One of Matthew’s favorite sayings was: “Don’t talk about it – Be about it.” He was the happiest when he was helping someone in need. He was not judgmental and did not understand or appreciate people judging others. He never wanted a spotlight on himself but he was a light in everyone’s life he touched.
