Obituary of Maria Jobst Marine

Maria Jobst Marine August 14, 1925 to July 2, 2017 Maria was born in Struth, Germany and came to the United States as a “War Bride” in 1948. She learned English from her young brother-in-law, Jackie, and traveled the world as a Navy wife until settling in Clarksville, TN in 1971. Maria enjoyed dancing, sewing, cooking and gardening. It was late in life that she met the love of her life, Earl Evans. Maria is survived by her two loving daughters, Beverly Gunsley (Patrick, Sr.), Juanita de Graaf (Jerry); two granddaughters, Melody Walker and Amanda Bumpus, and four great-grandchildren. Maria was a wonderful mother and great friend. We wish to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Emerald Coast Hospice and Broadview Assisted Living, especially the Memory Care Unit, for the love and compassion that they provided for our Mom during her long term care due to dementia.
