Obituary of Doris J. MacIntyre

Doris J. MacIntyre, age 84, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017. Doris was born in Detroit, Michigan to Blanch and Frederick MacIntyre on October 25, 1932. She moved to Pensacola, Florida forty-five years ago and was employed by Escambia County for six years as a Social Worker. She studied Graphic Design and Computer Science at Pensacola State College and enjoyed volunteering at several local libraries. She is preceded in death by her parents, Blanch Helen and Frederick Alfred MacIntyre. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela MacIntyre; sons, David Gene Gossett and Dean Arthur Gossett; children’s father, Gene Elwood Gossett; twenty granddaughters; nine grandsons; five great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons; sisters, Betty Lou Knecklin and Ethel Lang. A Memorial Service will be held at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 7253 Plantation Road, Pensacola, Florida 32504, Friday, July 21, 2017. Visitation will be held at 10:00-11:00am with service at 11:00am.
