Obituary of Marchello Devon Sampson
LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED
JOHN 14:1-4
The sun rose for Marchello Sampson on August 21, 1985 in Hattiesburg, MS and the sun set for our dear son, brother, father and friend on May 23, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Marchello was raised by his mother, Tara Sampson and then relocated to Pensacola, FL with his grandmother, Sallie Sampson, where he resided until God called him home.
Marchello attended Pensacola High School, however, he did not finish the course there but he was a person that never let the road bumps in life get him down. His drive shined through where he forged ahead with his interpersonal skills when he became a partner and co-owner of Glory Taxi in 2012. Marchello accepted Christ into his life in 2013 after learning the news that he was going to be a father for the second time.
Marchello was an extraordinary father, devoted son, loyal brother, loving nephew, caring cousin and faithful friend. These sentiments resonate through all the lives he touched with his gentle nature. He will be greatly missed but, he will live in our hearts forever.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harvey and Sallie Sampson and paternal grandfather, John Lee Gatlin.
Marchello is survived by his daughters, Salliea Sampson and Mariah Sampson; devoted mother, Tara Bryant (Linda); father, Randy (Anita) Gatlin; godfather, Bishop Eric Teague; special friend, Alisceya Maderson; sisters, Nykeshia (Naquita), Audianna and Adara; brothers, Santhron (Neosha), Jimmy (Lawndrea), Marcus, LaThomas and Randy, Jr.; grandmother, Willie Bell Gatlin; aunts, Shirley, Lorraine (Jody), Melody (EJ), Johnnie Mae and Freda; uncles, Mitchell (Theresa), Seth, Terry, Eurskine (Cynthia), Wayne (Meryl), Winfred and Rodney; also a host of cousins, friends and other relatives.
Visitation will be held at 10:00-11:00am, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Pensacola, Florida. Service will be held at 11:00am with Interment at Resthaven Gardens Cemetery immediately following.
