Obituary of Maureen Ann Price

On Saturday, April 22, 2017 Maureen Price was called home to celebrate her new life with Christ. Maureen Price was born in Trenton, New Jersey on June 28, 1932 to the large Irish family of Patrick P. Ryan and Dorethea Carty. Maureen lived in Pensacola for 55 years. She began her career as a library aide and retired 30 years later as a secretary to the assistant superintendent of the Escambia County School District. Maureen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She played an active part in all their lives readily acting as chauffeur, advisor, cook, nurse, referee, seamstress, camper, exerciser, cheerleader, babysitter, dress-up fashion show judge, and potty trainer. Maureen loved family vacations and get-togethers. She spent many happy years in various bridge clubs. Maureen had great affection for the game and the many friends she made. She was a devout Catholic and in the last few years of her life, a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Maureen is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and sisters, and daughter-in-law, Mary Alice Price. She is survived by one brother, William Ryan and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind four children: Karen Crisco (George), Bob Price (Susan), Terry Price (Mary), and Tim Price; nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Clarity Pointe, Emerald Coast Hospice and longtime family physician, Dr. Raul Ramos. Thank you for taking such loving care of our mom. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Maureen's favorite charity, Manna Food Bank. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The service will be held at 5eleven located at 511 South Palafox Street.
