Obituary of Robert Charles Barber

Robert Charles Barber 78 years old, died Friday, March 31, 2017 in Pensacola, Florida. Mr. Barber was a lifetime resident of Pensacola. Mr. Barber served in the US Marines and Marine Reserves for 23 years, and retired from the Civil Service. Mr. Barber was a member of the Knights of Columbus, previously served on Santa Rosa Search and Rescue, volunteered for Pensacola Naval Air Museum and was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Mr. Barber was preceded in death by his mother, Marie McNeil Barber and father, Donald P. Barber. He is survived by his wife, Shirley C. Barber, daughters: Sherri L. Barber, Debbie A. Price, Kathy R. Lawson and Teresa M. Barber; sister, Marie J. Steele and 5 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze, Florida where friends and family may visit 30 minutes prior to the service.
