Obituary of MSgt. Buris Dean Cole
MSgt. Buris Dean Cole, U.S. Air Force (Ret), departed this life on November 15, 2016 at his home in Ponce De Leon, Florida at the age of 75.
Dean was born on June 16, 1941 to Robert and Juanita Cole. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Cole; children Angelica Galland of San Francisco, CA, Phillip Cole of Minneapolis,MN, Joseph Cole of Torrence, CA, and Nida-Cole Sison of Minneapolis, along with other children Robert, Paul, Tracey, Sandra, and Pamela.
Dean was preceeded in death by his parents, Robert and Juanita Cole; four brothers, Richard, Robert, John and David; and one sister, Roberta. He is also survived by one brother, Walter E. Cole (Latoya) of Irmo, South Carolina; five sisters, Martha A. Archer (Jinks) of Maryville, Missouri, Maralie E. Boushie (Michael) of Viburnum, Missouri, Sharon C. Miles (Thomas) of Viburnum, Missouri, Stasha J. Bales of Park Hills, Missouri and Shirley Y. Davenport (John) of Festus, Missouri.
Dean grew up in Missouri in the Bismark and Arcadia Valley area before his enlistment in the Air Force. He served nearly 24 years before retiring on August 1, 1983, including three tours of duty in Vietnam and tours in Japan, Taiwan, and the Phillippines.
He served his country with pride and will be truly missed by his many grandchildren, other family members and friends.
