Obituary of Donald Wayne Taylor

Donald Wayne Taylor 11/06/1954-11/13/2016 Donnie was born in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Pensacola in 1962. He graduated high school at George Stone Vo-Tech High in 1972. He joined the US Army for two years and then began his career as a construction contractor. Later in life he became a pharmaceutical delivery driver and retired at the end of 2013. He loved to hunt and bowled on several leagues. His favorite pastimes were fishing every chance he could and playing poker every Saturday night. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Taylor, and his mentor, Ival Meyer, Sr. He met and married his soul mate, Linda Alley, in 1977. They had two sons, Michael and Charles (Veronica). He is also survived by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Plummer, sisters Peggy Boccabella (Gene), Terri Middlebrooks (Steve), Linda Kennedy, and a brother, Tommy, numerous nephews and nieces, and special brothers Jimmi Evans, Phillip Ronnlof and Charles Alley, very dear friend Advin Meyer, and his Saturday Night Poker Family. Donnie had been in a battle with COPD, severe back pain and the latest was brain cancer. He fought so very hard until the end. A Celebration of Life will be held by his family at his home on Saturday, December 3, from 3-5:00 PM.
