Obituary of Patsy Elizabeth Louise Jernigan Calder

Patsy Elizabeth Louise Jernigan Calder, 64, left this world suddenly on October 28, 2016. Pat was born on May 15, 1952 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Base, Florida to Carl and Merle Jernigan. Patsy’s family moved to Pace, FL when she was five, and she lived there most of her life. Patsy is survived by her parents; husband, Jimmie; son, Shaun Mercer (Carrie) and stepdaughter, Morgan; sister, Cathy Seago (Andy); and Jim’s siblings: Arthur (Sue), Marc (Sheri), John Paul (Sibina), Joseph M. Lachli, Rose Moon (Clifford); and grandchildren, Raena, Sarah, Kali, Ashley, Benjamin, Melanie, Julia, Samantha, James, Christy, and Nichole Kee. Pat will always be remembered for having a big heart. She was always there to help out those in need. Patsy loved her arts and crafts including jewelry making, flower arranging, and her passion, crocheting. She could whip up a blanket in no time, and loved giving away baby blankets to new parents. Her pets, Ruger and Bitsey, were also a very special part of her life. She will be missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life honoring Patsy is being held Wednesday, Nov 2nd from 3-5 pm at Family-Funeral & Cremation who is handling arrangements. They are located at 7253 Plantation Rd, Pensacola, FL (behind what used to be called University Mall off Davis Hwy).
