Obituary of Kevin Anthony Joiner

Kevin Anthony Joiner, 60, loving husband and father, passed away on Tuesday March 7th, 2023. He was a wonderful man that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. He is preceded in death by his father Jack, brother Keith, and daughter McKenna. Kevin is survived by his wife of 26 years, Shelly, his mother Catherine Joiner; sister, Linda Scholes; niece and nephew; children, Megan (Michael) Farella, Jessica (Aaron) Miles, Lindsey Rodgers, Katie Joiner, Trinity Joiner, Gabriel Joiner, Kaeden Joiner, and Kaeleb Joiner; and grandchildren, Kylee, Jaxson, Claire, Kendrick, Rodney and Anthony. Born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida on July 25th, 1962, Kevin spent most of his childhood near the water or skating. He graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in 1980 and continued on to serve in the US Air Force for 6 years. From there, Kevin traveled internationally doing contracted jobs for the US military. He was also a proud member of the local masonic lodge. Kevin enjoyed boating, riding motorcycles, and camping with his family. He created a birthday tradition by baking a cake on every one of his children's birthdays. These cakes were lovingly titled "Daddy Cakes." He was a kind, caring, hardworking and honest man who will be missed greatly. A celebration of Kevin's life will be held at the Cinco Bayou Town Hall from 1-3PM on Saturday, April 1st, 2023. Kevin expressed that he wished to have his ashes preserved and made into a memorial reef with his daughter, McKenna. His family plans to cast his memorial reef into the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023. .
