Obituary of Cynthia Ann Wilkinson Baker

Cindy, 65, went home at 4:56 am on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was born in Opp, Alabama on September 17, 1957 to Doris "Opal" Stanley Wilkinson and Kendrick "Ken" Ferguson Wilkinson, but lived most of her life in Baker, Florida. 

Cindy has loved and served Jesus all her life and was saved at the early age of 6.  She attended Shady Grove Assembly of God church in Baker, FL for the past 35 years and was part of the Praise Team.  She worked at the Okaloosa County Clerk of Courts in Crestview, FL until she retired in 2022.  Cindy's faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ always came first and never diminished, she never hid her beliefs from anyone.  She was caring, loving, honest, beautiful, selfless, humble, faithful, and an inspiration, just to name a few according to her family and friends.  She was a remarkable woman who inspired others to strengthen their faith in the Lord.  Cindy's passion was singing for the Lord and encouraging people through song.  Cindy also enjoyed reading, taking pictures, word games, cooking shows, and spending time with her family.  

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ken and Opal Wilkinson and brother, Wayne Wilkinson.  She is survived by her husband of 46+ years, Arthur Baker of Baker, Florida; 4 children and their spouses, Arthur Jr. and Betsy of Westbrook, ME, Heidi and Rick of Brunswick, ME, Ernie and Ashley of Holt, FL, and David Baker of Wichita, KS; 8 grandchildren, Kyle, Ian, Loriah, Isabella, Harley, Saije, Jake, and Chloe; great-grandchild, Brysen; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Richard Smith; Uncle, Floyd Stanley; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and countless cousins.

Cindy's life's motto was, " I Don't Regret A Single Mile."

A "Going Home" Celebration will be held at Shady Grove Assembly of God Church in Baker, Florida, Saturday, April 1, 2023, starting at 3 pm.
