Obituary of William Alfred Murray Jr.

William Alfred (Al) Murray, 82, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida  passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 28, 2023.

Al was born in Goshen (Oldham County) KY on June 3, 1940 to William Alfred Murray Sr. and Myrtle (McDaniel) Murray.

On February 15, 1963, Al married the love of his life, Sharon Fay Horton.  After service in the U.S. Navy, Al was employed in the wholesale electrical supply business until his retirement.

 

Al is survived by a sister, Billie Jean Doyle of Leilchfield, KY; wife of 60 years, Sharon; children, Deborah L. Kelley (John), William Allen Murray (Janie), and Raymond Lee Murray (Chrissy); grandchildren, Stephanie Wagner, Alexandria Kelley, Addison Murray, Archer Murray, Cheyenne Murray, and Allison Murray; great-grandchildren, Logan Dickson, Faythe Wagner, and  Aaron Wagner.  Al was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Pearl Morrison, Doris Barlar, and Judy Murray.

 

Per Al's wishes, services wil be private.  A Celebration of Life will honor Al at a later date, which will be announced.
