Obituary of Malcolm Keith Rawson

Malcolm Keith Rawson
October 2nd, 1954 - April 7th, 2023,
On Good Friday April 7th, 2023, Keith Rawson finished his final race and went home to be with his Lord
and savior. Keith was a beloved son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew and
friend to many. Keith was born in Pensacola where he resided his entire life. He worked as a master
plumber until a tragic diving accident left him in a wheelchair.
Many in the community knew Keith from his reel business OCD Reel Service & Repair. He was an expert
reel smith, offshore fishing guru (aka Ocean Master), and a very generous and kind man. Despite his
disability Keith stayed very active. He was champion of the Blue Angles 5K wheelchair marathon in 1990
and 1993 and loved his collection of vintage cars. He competed in car shows and was awarded Gold at
the 2002 Gulf Coast National Mustang Show. And of course fishing every chance he could. Keith was
devoted to his dogs Lucky and Graham and had a huge heart for children.
Keith is predeceased by his mother Catherine Elizabeth Rawson and brother Daniel Kirby Rawson. He is
survived by his father Robert Malcolm Rawson, Stepmother Lynn Marie Williams (Mikel), son Lucas
Lamar Rawson (Lugenia), sisters Donna Rawson Blankenship (Jim), Rena Luker Killam (Ken), Micha D
Luker, Courtney Rawson Chelico (Rob), Casey Dawn Rawson, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Family Funeral Home in Pensacola on Saturday, April 22, 2023. Visitation is at
2pm, followed by service at 3pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Keith's honor to his favorite
charity. The Miami Project To Cure Pararlysis, 1095 NW 14th Terrace (r-48), Miami, FL 33136
