Obituary of Inez Claribel Beard

Inez “Muddy” Beard passed away peacefully on April 10, 2023 at the age of 98 in her home of 31 years in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

Inez was the 5^th of 6 children born to Robert and Lillian Stanley. Upon graduating from high school, Inez worked as an aircraft assembler for the government during World War 2. She then made the decision to further serve our country by enlisting in the United States Army Air Corps, where she was awarded with a Victory Medal, an American Theater Ribbon, and a Good Conduct Medal. After completing her time in the service, Inez got married and was a stay at home mom to her four children. She cherished her family and was very proud of them all. Inez’s later years were truly her golden years. She socialized with friends playing cards and metal detecting. She was an avid reader and loved her wine and margaritas. She spent 10 years traveling with her daughter Sandy on travel nurse assignments all over the country.

Inez was preceded in death by parents; Robert and Lillian, sisters; Geneva, Beulah, Ruth, and Dottie, as well as brother Lyle.

Inez is survived by children; Sandy, Dixie, Alan (Yesenia), and Rob (Alecia), grandchildren Tim, John (Anna), Doug, Roger, Melissa, Genette (Ryan), Stephanie, William, Ryan (Lindsey), Richard (Susan), Jeremy (Jasmine), and Anthony, great grand children; Gabrielle (Beegee), Brandon, Josh, Jenna, Shane, Chase, Christian, Chanelle, Mason, McKenna, Max, Leon, Aidan, Julia, Isabel, Hannah, Liam, and Jocelyn, and great great grand children; Dominic, Thor, Hoss and Delilah.

We will remember Inez for the fiercely loving and independent woman she always was, for her sense of humor, and for the impressions she has made on each of our lives. 

A funeral service will be held at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 5627 N Davis Hwy Pensacola, Fl 32593 on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11:30 AM, followed by Burial at Barrancas National Cemetery.
