Obituary of Jesse Able Sanchez

Jesse Abel Sanchez

January 30, 1948~April 12, 2023

Jesse Abel Sanchez left his earthly life at the age of 75, on April 12, 2023, where he was surrounded by loved ones and family.  Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, father~Tom O. Sanchez, mother~Adela A. Sanchez, two nephews~ Ryan Sanchez, and Guillermo P. Sanchez, Jr.

Jesse graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1966, where he excelled in electronics.  He was a member of the Radio & T.V. Slide Rule Club.  He then went on to serve in the Navy, from 1968-1972, where he took his electronics learning further to become an Electronic Engineer Specialist, working Civil Service in the United States Government Air Logistics Command.  He traveled the world doing what he loved, while working Civil Service.  Jesse's last service was at Tinker Air Force Base (OCALC), Okalahoma City Air Logistics Center, 76th Aircraft Maintenance Wing, where he specialized and headed the team on the B-2 program.  Jesse was also instrumental with the closing of Kelly Air Force base, as he headed the base realignment and closure (BRAC) team of equipment going to Tinker Air Force Base.  Jesse served his country well, as his orders came directly from the Pentagon.  Before his retirement, Jesse proudly served his country for 42 years (1968-2010).

Jesse is survived by his children, son, Jason D. Sanchez, daughter, Sunnie Rae (John) Zentner, and son, Jonathan R. (Melissa) Sanchez; 3 grandchildren, Jakob Anthony Thomas, John Edward Zentner III, and Juliana Marie Sanchez;  wife, Sun Ok Ha; her son, Nam H Kim (Sujin Kim);  grand kids, Samuel, Eugene and Daniel;  5 brothers, Tommy O. (Maria) Sanchez, Robert O. (Lucy) Sanchez, Guillermo P. Sanchez, John Edward (Janie) Sanchez, James B. Sanchez;  sister, Martha Sanchez (Victor) Saldania, along with 9 nieces and nephews, as well as 8 grand nieces and nephews.

Military Honors for Jesse Abel Sanchez, will be held at 10:30 AM, May 15, 2023 Section-Shelter 3 Ft. Sam Houston National cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
