Obituary of Leon M Callahan

Leon Melvin Callahan, 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Leon was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Leon Sr and Mildred Callahan. After marrying the love of his life, Thelma, Leon moved his family to Pensacola, Florida. Leon was a roofer by trade but his true passion was his family and the outdoors. He loved fishing, camping and just being in nature.

Leon will join in Heaven, his beloved wife, Thelma Callahan; parents Leon Melvin Callahan Sr. and Mildred Cochran Callahan; and son James Culver.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons; Christopher Callahan, David Culver, and Porter Culver; daughters, Brenda Gallagher, Peggy Culver, and Theresa Self; as well has a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11:30 am followed by a funeral service at 12:30 pm at Family Funeral and cremation, 5627 N Davis Hwy Pensacola, FL 32503. Butch Callahan to officiate
