Obituary of Nancy Lee Thomas

Nancy Lee Thomas, age 72, of Destin, Florida  passed peacefully on April 18, 2023 after a courageous battle with illness.

 

Nancy was the best wife, mother, nana, and friend.  She was a hard and loyal worker.  She spent 26 years at Tom Thumb as a store manager.  Nancy enjoyed her plants and working in her yard.  She loved trips to Walmart and made many friends.  We will miss our rock deeply and will promise to make her proud.

 

Nancy was born to Edgar and Nola Hasty in Detroit on February 14, 1951, a very suiting date for a lady with such a big heart.

 

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Joe, of 33 years; daughters, Tina (Robbie) Davis of Niceville, FL and Sherry DeArman of McDonough, GA; 3 grandsons, Brenden, Alex, and Logan; brothers, Rocky (Chris), David (Claudia), and Ted (Susan); mother-in-law, Patsy Cates; sister-in-law, Tammy (Ronnie) Barrow; and niece, Elise.  Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Greg.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
