Alice Prellberg

Obituary of Alice Carol Prellberg

Alice Carol (Twiss) Prellberg passed peacefully at home on Saturday, May 13, 2023.  Alice was born November 25, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Oliver Omar Twiss and Lora Murfin Twiss.

Alice attended Amundsen High School in Chicago, Illinois.  She moved from the Chicago area to Arizona in 1983.   She became an Arizona cowgirl and started her life and love with horses.  She had her horse property in the Phoenix metro area.  Alice later moved to the mountains in Payson, Arizona, the perfect spot for this cowgirl.  She would go on multiple multiday rides in the desert or mountains with her friends, always packing her 357.  The gun was bigger than she was.  Alice moved to Navarre, Florida in 2004, where she volunteerd at Junk Yard Dog for many years.  Alice was an accomplished artist, painter, and sculptor.  She loved all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their spouses.  She loved life, loved to go dancing and loved drinking her wine.  She taught us all how short life can be, so enjoy every  moment you have with  your friends and family.  She is greatly missed.

Alice is survived by her children, Daniel Scott Prellberg of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Michael Jon Prellberg, and Penny Elizabeth Stroud of Navarre, Florida; grandchildren, Casey Harvey, Tiffany Tessier, Steffany Prellberg, Ashley Tallman, Daniel Prellberg, Matt Prellberg, and Brett Prellberg; spouses, Jason Harvey, Stephen Tessier, Cody Tallman, Simone Prellberg, and Santi Prellberg; great-grandchildren, Alice and David Harvey, Sophia, Magnus and Sylvia Prellberg.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Alice's favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, can be made in her name.
