Obituary of Nicholas Flint Pennington
Nicholas Flint Pennington was born in Plattsburgh, NY on September 14 th , 1986 to Susan (Fleck) Pennington and Dannie Carl Pennington, Sr.
Due to birth related issues, he was given last rights and brought to the NICU in Burlington, Vt. But, God had plans, and Nick’s family was
blessed to know his love for 36 more years. Nick enjoyed basketball, baseball, bowling, fishing, traveling, spending
time at the beach and SUNSETS! He loved spending time with his brother, sisters, nieces, and nephews. He would spend hours on the
phone and Facebook talking with his friends all across America. Nick and his mom had a unique connection. They would taunt each other
and drive each other crazy, but their love for each other was unmeasurable.
Nicholas was a special person. He lived life his way, often driving his family crazy, but his heart, his heart touched so many. Nicky loved
helping people. Often placing himself in situations that terrified his mom.
Nick was not a material person, everything he owned fit in the back of his beat up old van that carried him across the South, from Miami to
New Orleans reaching people, bringing them hope. A modern day Jesus of sorts, tending to those society ignored.
He loved reaching out, touching, and uplifting those less fortunate, the homeless, and down-trodden. He thrived on helping them to get in
touch with their beautiful souls by reaching out and spreading peace and love. He spoke with them of God, faith, and the universe, helping
them to feel God’s love and see the joys that awaited once we leave our earthly vessel.
Nick was predeceased by his dad, Dannie Carl Pennington, Sr.; His maternal and paternal grandparents; his uncles, Flint and Tom
Hubbard; his cousins, Tom and Dann Hubbard.
