Obituary of Rhonda Kaye Ellis
Rhonda Kaye Ellis, 52, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family on May 29, 2023. She was born to Phillip Ellis and Patricia Shreve on January 20, 1971.
Rhonda finished school with her GED in 1988 and received a certificate for carpentry in 1992, which she was very proud to have accomplished. She worked serving her community as a waitress for over 25 years. She loved her town of Fort Walton Beach and was very proud of where she was from.
Rhonda was a storyteller with a gift of gab. She loved to tell stories of her younger years and all of the bands she saw and good times she had when she got to hang out with the band members. She never missed a detail and made sure you felt like you were there. She had the ability to name a song off memory by humming to her just the first note if it was in the genre rock and roll of any type. That was part of the unbelievable artistic ability she had. Rhonda loved to water paint and draw as well. Arts and crafts was a huge part of her life. She enjoyed making the most beautiful beaded jewelry. She was always creating something.
Rhonda was the perfect mother. She had two wonderful sons. She loved her boys more than words can express. When she found out years later that she was going to be a grandmother, she knew her life was going to be complete! She absolutely loved being a mother and grandmother. She looked forward to every birthday and holiday. She always showed up with gifts and decorations, ready to celebrate whatever occasion it was. She loved her hugs and snuggles from her boys. She was always there for her boys if they were in need of someone to talk too. She was extremely loved but loved even more!! She will be missed by so many!!
Rhonda is survived by her oldest son, Steven Silver, his finace, Jennifer English; youngest son, Marty Wilkinson; grandsons, Jordan Silver and Crimson Hartman; their mother, Sharon Cheek; Sharon's parents and great friends of Rhonda, Russell Cheek and Toni Shumate; also Sharon's other children, Rhonda's step-grandchildren, Emma, Aryan, Trinity, Bryson, and Carson; brother, David Couey and his wife, Victoria; and lots of family and friends who loved her dearly and she loved them all unconditionally.
