Obituary of Tina Marie Whitney

Tina Marie Whitney, 58, of Shalimar, Florida received her heavenly wings on June 8, 2023.  She was born at Eglin Air Force Base in 1964 and graduated Silver Sands School in 1982.

Tina was an active team member with HORIZONS of Okaloosa County for 35  years (thanks Myra) and then joined the staff of Tonsorial Parlor as a valued "Worker" and was loved by the clients.  She thoroughly loved music and dancing.  In her youth, she earned many medals as a Dance Skater (thanks Wally), she was decorated many times as a Special Olympian and later explored and enjoyed guitar (thanks Roy) and ballroom dancing (thanks Rico).  She also traveled extensively with her parents and her favorite fun trip was to play the "one arm bandits."

Tina is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her siblings, Bobby Whitney (Linda), Pam Schaefer, Dana Bryant (Rick), and Sherry Scott; Aunt Linda, Uncle Bob and many nieces, nephews, great's and a multitude of "girlfriends" that will all have awesome memories of being "touched" by Tina.

 

Interment with her father and mother at Barrancas National Cemetery.  Date and time to be determined.  Arrangements entrusted to Family-Funeral & Cremation, Mary Esther, Florida.
