December 2, 1952 to July 2, 2023

Gregory “Greg” Rodrique of Pensacola, Florida went home with the Lord on Sunday, July 2, 2023. 

Greg was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on December 2, 1952, to parents Lloyd and Elizabeth (Zangs) Rodrique. As a young man Greg served as an altar boy at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located across the street from his family’s home in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was the oldest of 12 children and would lovingly complain about never having his own bed or sleeping alone until he joined the Navy in 1970. In 1972, Greg was stationed at Naval Air Station Pensacola and soon met his bride to be Cindy Robinson. The couple married on March 23, 1974. Greg discharged from the Navy in 1974 and the couple built a home and settled in Beulah. He would continue working in Civil Service, retiring in 2010 as Safety Manager of the Naval Hospital. Greg loved serving and helping his community, he joined the Beulah Volunteer Fire Department in 1976 and worked his way up to Deputy Chief until he retired in 2006. Greg and Cindy welcomed two children, Beau on March 2, 1982, and Crystal on June 21,1985. Greg enjoyed gardening, reading, wood carving and was very passionate about cooking for his family. Recently Greg, Cindy, Beau, Crystal and their families moved north of Pensacola to Walnut Hill to fulfill one of Greg’s dreams of having a small farm. 
 
Gregory is survived by his wife Cindy (Robinson) Rodrique, son Beau Rodrique (wife Kirstie), daughter Crystal (Rodrique) Johnson (husband Jody), granddaughters Kaylee Rodrique, Raelynn Johnson and Audrey Rodrique, grandsons Wyatt Rodrique and Ryker Johnson. Siblings Mary (Tom) Vierling, Jerry (Terry) Rodrique, Vickie (Kevin) Slaikeu, Jim Rodrique, Barbara LeVasseur, Bill (Kim) Rodrique, Julie Rodrique, Susie (Adam) Shackett, Debra (Robert) Knox. Sisters-in-law Betty Bellanca, Peggy Kanzigg and Kathy Robinson. 
 
Greg is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Elizabeth Rodrique and stepmother Waneta Rodrique. Sister Katherine Rodrique and brother Tom Rodrique. Mother-in-law Ruth Robinson and brothers-in-law Brent Robinson, Orin Kanzigg and John Bellanca.           
 
Celebration of Greg’s life will be held August 5, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 5:30 PM at Point Baptist Jackson Campus, 5213 West Jackson Street, Pensacola, Florida. Burial service will be held August 7, 2023 at 11:30, Barrancas National Cemetery on Naval Air Station Pensacola.
