Obituary of Peter Colalillo

Peter Francis Colalillo, 92, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023. Peter was born

Monday, June 29, 1931, in Camden, New Jersey to Pasquale Colalillo and Pasqualina “Pauline” Gallo

Colalillo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He earned the rank of Master Sergeant.

After his duty to his country, Peter returned home, to Medford, New Jersey, to start a family and career.

He was wed to Jane Dean Linton, and they resided in Stratford for many years. Peter spent 31 years with

Cross Brothers Meat Packers of Philadelphia. He also worked in maintenance roles for several years,

serving Johnson and Johnson and Arrow International in their medical device facilities in Indian Mills and

Mt. Holly. Peter was a jack-of-all-trades, supporting facility, office, warehousing, and manufacturing

personnel. He was known for creating innovative solutions that helped simplify tedious tasks, improve

efficiencies, and brought happiness to his coworkers. Peter eventually retired from the work he loved

and moved to Pensacola, Florida with his wife, Nancy, whom he married in June 2000.

Peter loved gardening and sharing his harvest with family, friends, and neighbors. He also enjoyed trips

to the Jersey Shore and large family gatherings. The pinnacle of each calendar year, he hosted La Vigile

(Feast of the Seven Fishes), an Italian Christmas celebration for his entire family. He also spent many

years as a brother of the Sons of Italy.

Peter joins in Heaven his parents Pasquale and Pauline; brother, Joseph Colalillo; sister, Mary Cudemo

Schurig; son-in-law, Stephen Bush; and stepson, Lester MacDonald.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Nancy Graham Colalillo; ex-wife, Jane Dean Linton;

children, Debra Righter and Gia Bush; grandchildren, Stephen Bush (Cindy), Jeremy Bush (Samantha

Roberts), Aaron Righter, Andrew Righter, and Amy Smith (Benji); great-grandchildren, Jeremy D. Bush,

Adrienne Bush, Cody Smith, Payton Bush; Stepchildren,  Harald Drost (Kristina), Hans Drost, Lorraine “Lori” Perry (Floyd)

and Karen MacDonald;

as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Peter on Tuesday July 18, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Family

Funeral and Cremation; 5627 N Davis Hwy Pensacola, FL 32503. A service is also being planned for Peter

in New Jersey, at a later date.
