Obituary of Sharon Marie Clarke

Sharon Clarke, beloved mother of two sons and wife of 49 years, passed away Saturday morning at the Baptist Hospital in Gulf Breeze at the age of 68.

She had suffered from diabetes her whole life, and more recently she experienced heart failure and kidney failure. She was taken to the hospital suffering from severe back pain, and while undergoing a CT scan, her heart simply slowed down and stopped. In spite of heroic efforts by the trauma staff in the emergency room over the course of several hours, she couldn't be revived. She loved gardening and cooking, and her family more than anything. She is gone now, but has left the family surrounded by beautiful things collected together over the years, lovely gardens, and fond memories.

Sharon is survived by her mother, brothers and sister; two sons, their wives and four grandchildren, and her husband; a man blessed beyond measure to have spent nearly fifty years with her.

A graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Barrancas National Cemetery  at 1:00 PM, procession will meet at 12:30 at Olive baptist Church. 103 W. Winthrop Ave, Pensacola, FL 32507.
