Obituary of Andrew Gregory McCrary

Andrew Gregory McCrary passed away July 21, 2023, after a brief illness. Andrew was born in Sioux City, Iowa, to Greg and Cathy McCrary on May 25, 1990. He graduated from Fleming Island High School in 2008. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Political Science major from University of West Florida in 2012.

Andrew was employed by Navy Federal Credit Union since 2013. He initially served as a Member Service Representative at the Pensacola branch on Hwy 98 and subsequently as a Business Support Specialist in the Branch Operations Department.

Andrew is survived by his parents, Greg and Cathy McCrary of Pensacola; his sister Elizabeth Fernando, her husband Joe and their daughter, Ava, of Pensacola; grandmother Kathleen McCrary, of Le Mars, Iowa; as well as 10 aunts and uncles and 24 cousins.

All who knew Andrew loved his kind heart, sense of humor, clever observations and snappy responses. He always put others before himself. Though in large groups Andrew was often a quiet observer, he was always eager to connect with others in one-on-one conversations. He had a great love for his family, music and guitars, dogs (and secret love for cats), visiting Iowa, and the U. S. military, especially the Navy.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Family-Funeral & Cremation, 5627 N. Davis Highway, Pensacola, Florida 32503 at 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
