Obituary of Monte Wayne Moore
In the early morning of July 24th, 2023, Monte Wayne Moore passed away after a year-long battle with lung cancer. He was tended to by the wonderful staff at Baptist Hospital of Pensacola. He was 51 years old.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Del Moore (1973) and Sue Ann Moore (1985), and survived by his three sisters Leah Renteria, Renee Figueroa, and Patricia Blair.
Monte was a long time Carpenter who took great pride in the quality of his work. After many years, he chose the security of working in the garden department at Walmart to end his working career. He couldn’t wait to get back to work and fully expected to do just that.
Monte enjoyed hanging out at home, riding his Harley Sportster, coin collecting, Star Wars memorabilia, watching Anthony Bourdain reruns, and playing video games with his old friends.
His big smile and stubborn personality will be sorely missed.
Monte’s body will be cremated and since the majority of his family and friends are out of state there will be no funeral. A picture memorial will be added to the family’s Facebook pages.
The Baptist Hospital of Pensacola took him in and treated him like a member of the family. They made sure all of his medical bills were covered 100% and gave exceptional care while he was there.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Baptist Foundation at http://www.baptisthealthcarefoundation.org
Use “Donate with Confidence” on the bottom right of the page.
