Obituary of Connie Flack Cummings

Connie Lorraine Cummings of Milton, Florida passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023 at the age of 72. She was born Saturday, February 10, 1951 in Mineola, New York to Donald Flack and Ruth Bard.  Connie was raised in Belle Glade, Florida; where she graduated from Belle Glade High School, but not before making a lasting impression. Connie was the first woman to be accepted in to the Belle Glade 4-H club, a contestant in the Belle Glade Harvest Queen pageant, a woman’s auxiliary member for Lantana Athletics league and a barrel racer. Connie was a jill of all trades but spent many years working as a produce manager for Winn Dixie and as a local florist.

Connie is preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward D. Rice; and parents Donald J. and Ruth F. Flack.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children Kelly D. Cummings (John), Jason D. Cummings (Melinda), and Corey D. Cummings; grandchildren, Gavin T. Cummings, Hayden J. Stucchi, Cody I. Cummings, Raymond T. Cummings, Katalayah S. Cummings; and fur babies, Mama Cat, Kitten, Gizmo, trouble, little girl, and Hemi; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Connie was a unique woman with a beautiful soul, and kind heart, her homemade quilts, costumes, and recipes and memories will be shared with future generations. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Pruitt Health Care, Covenant Care and Sacred Heart ICU, especially, Jackie, Tina, Ree Ree, Fantasia, Adrien, and Manny for the care and support they showed to Connie in her final months.

A  Celebration of life will be held at Family Funeral and Cremation, 5627 N Davis Hwy Pensacola, Florida on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
