Obituary of Rodney Eugene Groh

Rodney E. “Buddy” Groh of Pace, Florida went home to be with Jesus on the evening of July 31st, 2023. 

Rod was born on August 8, 1963 in Germany, the son of Barbara (Stokes) Groh, and Floyd Groh, Sr. He attended Ball High School in Galveston, TX. Rod furthered his education in Fort Worth, TX, where he earned a degree in Massage Therapy . Later on, he became interested in horse training and started to train in Texas.

Rod was a compassionate and thoughtful man who loved people and loved the Lord his God with all his heart and soul, and wasn’t ashamed to share his faith. He was also known to many as “Goatman”, and had a small goat farm, Buddy G’s. His animals he cared for were his life, and his farm was his refuge. 

Along with his loving mother, Barbara (Kermit) Groat, he leaves behind a sister, Carlotta (Mark) Majewski; brother, Tracy Groh; nieces and nephews, Brandi Majewski, Jessica Majewski, Rebecca Groh, Taylor Groh, Miranda (Jeff) Carpenter, and Shane Oliver; great nephews, River Groh and Jacob Oliver; great nieces, Alesha, Addison and Vanity; close friend and companion, Andrei Garcia; an abundance of wonderful friends and last but certainly not least, his fur baby, Shaz. Rod was predeceased  by his father Floyd Groh, Sr. and brother Floyd Groh, Jr.
