Obituary of Rebecca Darlene Williams

Rebecca D. (Becky) Williams – 64 – Pensacola is now living a life free of pain.  Becky passed away peacefully July 21, 2023, at her home.

Becky was born on December 9, 1958, at the old Baptist Hospital to Trish and Lavelle Williams.  She graduated from Tate High School in 1976.  Becky married Billy Nicholson May 12, 1991, and had a son David Nicholson, October 23, 1992.  David was her pride and joy.

Becky is survived by her son, David Nicholson; ex-husband and roommate, Billy Nicholson;  sister, Rhonda Williams; brother, Raymond Williams; nieces, Chelsea (Robert) Murphy, Sierra (Stephen) Olsen, Sienna Williams; nephew, Cole Williams; great-niece, Kylah Murphy;  a cousin and best friend, Kim Capps; and many other relatives and friends. 

Becky is welcomed home by paternal grandparents Ella Williams and Bodie Williams, maternal grandparents Clarence and Mattie Lou Dannelly, mom and dad Trish and Lavelle Williams, sister-n-law Deana Williams, and several aunts and uncles.

She had a beautiful voice when she was younger.  Even singing a solo at church.  She was a master at giving lawn and gardening advice.  She worked at Farm & Nursery Mart and customers would seek her out season after season for recommendations and instructions on how to keep their yard, plants, and trees alive.  Becky worked there in one capacity or another until she retired with health issues.She loved going to estate sales with her sister when she felt up to it.  

Becky had survived throat cancer, but suffered daily from fibromyalgia, severe back pain, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, and blood pressure issues.  She didn’t have a day without pain but is now pain free.

All of us that she left behind misses her terribly.

It was Becky’s wish to be cremated so there will be no service.  As a memorial to her please consider planting a flower, hanging a bird house, or planting milkweed in her honor.  She loved flowers, birds, and butterflies.
