Obituary of Thomas Charles Miller

Thomas Charles Miller passed away on August 23rd at the age of 61 in Pensacola, FL. He is preceded in death by his son Alec and ex-wife Dawn. Tom is also preceded in death by his father Robert Raymond Miller, and survived by his mother Helen Dougherty Miller of Lewes, DE. He is also survived by his four siblings: Robert, Richard, David, and Barbara.

Born in Wilmington, DE and raised in Martinsville, VA, Tom was known for his kind heart, intellect, and wit. He graduated from Martinsville High School and later attended Hampden Sydney College. From there, Tom would go on to serve our country in the United States Navy. A veteran like his father before him, Tom’s service to his country was a reflection of his selfless nature and humility. As a proud parent to Alec, Tom would again demonstrate these traits. He was loving, supportive, and nurturing as a father. His love for Alec knew no limits.

As a son, brother, and uncle, Tom will always be remembered for his huge heart. There are few people as genuinely kind as Tom and he will be loved, missed,  and cherished in all of our hearts always.
