Obituary of David Martin Meade

David Martin Meade, 61 of Pensacola, Fl entered into God's kingdom on August 29th, 2023 after a brief illness.  He was born January 21st, 1962 to John and Claire Meade in Wiesbaden, Germany.

David is survived by two brothers, John and Paul, a sister, Patty, and many other family members.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

After graduating MacArthur High School in San Antonio, Texas, Dave joined the U.S. Air Force and served in North Dakota, Korea, Hawaii and Panama.  Following his service, he began working in the transportation industry, eventually serving in a variety of roles over the years that followed.

Dave had two loves in life - his family and sports.  A lifelong bachelor, he remained close with his family. He often spent holidays and other vacations with his siblings and their families. 

 

His two favorite teams were the Los Angeles Rams football club and the NY Mets baseball club.  A favorite family tradition for many years involved meeting up in New Orleans annually when the Rams were in town to play.  Since several siblings lived in different parts of Florida, this event was a great opportunity to spend time with the entire family, enjoying all that New Orleans had to offer before the ballgame on Sunday.

 

He lived life with a kind, caring and forgiving spirit.   He was loved and will be missed.
