Obituary of Rachel Iris Holifield

Rachel Iris Holifield, 77, of Pace, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 5, 2023

Rachel was born Tuesday, January 22, 1946 in Bay Springs Florida, to Zackariah Lewis and Eliza Safronia

Johnson. She was a life time resident of Pace, and a lifetime member of Pace Assembly of God. She

loved her family with all of her heart and did all she could to make sure they were taken care of. She had

an amazing sense of humor and loved to laugh with whomever she was talking to.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Zackariah and Safronia Lewis; brothers, Gladden Lewis,

Wayne Lewis, Ronnie Lewis, and Troy Lewis; sister, Melva Jean Attaway; and grandson, Gabriel Seth

Holifield Lloyd.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John F. Holifield; sons, John F. Holifield Jr (Misty), and Ronald

Wayne Holifield (Lisa); daughters, Charlotte Marie Ard (Dennis), and Myra Leigh Busby (Chris); brother,

Billy Ray Lewis; Grandsons, Zackary Ryan Holifield, Caleb Bryan Holifield, Aiden Shane Lirette, Garrett

Lee Ard, and Clay Harvey; granddaughters, Britany Michelle Holifield, Madeline Rose Holifield, Stephanie

Holifield, and Ashley Harvey; great-grandchildren, Braylen Christian Chong, McKynlee Catherine Chong,

and Isabelle Louise Holifield; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and her church family and

friends.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00

pm at Family Funeral and Cremation, 5627 N. Davis Highway Pensacola, FL 32503. A committal service

will be held at Memory Park Cemetery on Hwy 90 in Milton, Florida. Pallbearers will include her

grandsons and nephews; her grand daughters will stand as honorary pallbearers. Reverend Glen Lowery

to officiate.
