Obituary of Kevin Eldwin Boyce Sr.
Kevin passed away in his home in Crestview, FL on November 3, 2023, at the age of sixty-three. He was born November 17, 1959, in Boston, MA.
He is survived by daughter, Tianna Buiel (Boyce) of Brockton, MA; son, Michael Stevens of Rhode Island; brother, Gordon (D.J.) Boyce; sister-in-law, Iantha (Windy) Boyce, of Lexington Park, MD; sisters, Eva (Deannie) Boyce of Boston, MA and Patricia Boyce-Green of Brockton, MA; former wife, Patricia Boyce (Bryant); 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon (Duke) Boyce, Sr. and Eva M. Boyce (Clements); sons, Marcus D. Boyce and Kevin E. Boyce, Jr.
Kevin completed his education in the Boston public school system. After high school, Kevin enlisted in the United States Navy in 1978. His service in the Navy spanned over 15 years as an Operations Specialist aboard multiple naval warships homebased at Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island.
After an honorable discharge from the Navy in 1992, Kevin relocated to Florida, obtaining employment in the petroleum industry as an Air Traffic Controller supporting offshore oil exploration.
Kevin enjoyed the outdoors and deep-sea fishing with close friends in Florida. Kevin remained an avid fan and supporter of the New England Patriots, the Boston Celtics, the Boston Red Sox sports teams and of course his Alabama Crimson Tide football team, as he would say "Roll Tide."
Family-Funeral & Cremation of Mary Esther, Florida will provide mortuary services.
Interment will take place at a future date at Barrancas National Cemetery, Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida.
