Obituary of Janet Victoria Merz

Janet Victoria Merz, 74, a resident of Pensacola, FL, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 26, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Merz; father, A. James Fliedner; mother, Grace Fliedner.  Survivors include son, James (Stephanie) Merz; grandchild, Jessica Merz; sister, Elizabeth (Gary) Bishop; brothers, Eddie (Erin) Fliedner, Robert (Dale) Fliedner; niece, Katie (Chris) Cook; great-niece, Dana Cook; nephew, Matt (LeighAnn) Bishop; and great-niece, Zoe Bishop.  She will be fondly remembered by all her family and friends for her Thanksgiving get together and culinary artistry.  May God allow  her the eternal rest she deserves for all she has blessed in her lifetime.

There will be a celebration of Life in Ocean Grove, New Jersey in July 2024.  In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation in her name to the Foundation for Women's Cancer as she was a cancer survivor for over 35 plus years.
