Obituary of Joe Douglas Collier

Joe Douglas (J.D.) Collier also known as "Too Tall", passed away at his residence in Gulf Breeze, Florida at the age of 77 on December 8, 2023.

He was born in Kenton County, Kentucky to the late Eldon and Carolyn Collier. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Joyce Webber Collier. Joe served in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tamera D Collier, three children, Michelle (Daniel) Richie, Christie Collier and Scotty Collier and his stepson, Josh Tatro. Joe also had three beautiful grandchildren-Shelby Sanders, Wyatt Richie and Scotty Joe Collier. He also has two beautiful great-grandchildren, Ramey Puente and Sawyer Layne, one brother, David (Mary) Collier and one brother-in-law, Jody (Gerri) Thomas and a host of family and friends.

Joe loved the campground life and his beloved Kentucky Wildcats. He also loved his campground family and friends, especially his family at Papa Bass Campground.
